The Obama administration officially launched its own “War on Terror,” against Fox News On Friday, October 23 for “not rendering its coverage and the fairness of that coverage fair,” stated Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary in an interview conducted by ABC’s, Jake Tapper. Source
The New York Times reported that Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director said that Fox news is “undertaking a war against Barrack Obama… we don’t need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave.” - NY Times
The White House’s plans to “treat [Fox] the way we would treat an opponent” by excluding them from the opportunity to conduct interviews with officials as a member of the press pool. Source (The press pool is made of the following networks: ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC.)
Fox news’ response? The highly controversial Bill O’Rielly responded, “There is something very disturbing about the Obama administration fighting harder against Fox News than against the Taliban.” Fox news executives further commented, “The administration is failing to distinguish between their commentators and news programs.” – LA Times
Since becoming Obama’s public enemy #1, the network has flourished. Not only do they have a wealth of new and very personal material, but higher ratings as well. “Taking on a 8% audience increase than previous two weeks.” – LA Times

This whole thing is unbelievable to me. I don’t often agree with the extreme right side that Fox News usually speaks from. I can’t remember the last time I even watched Fox News… But how in the world is this Constitutional? What happened to freedom of speech? Freedom of press?
They want to remove it because Fox News is “not rendering its coverage and the fairness of that coverage fair”… ? Give me ONE news outlet that isn’t biased. If you are going to punish one biased news source, punish them all.
I think this country has more important things going on than which news outlet is “fair.” Especially when “fair” is only “fair” if they are saying nice things about you.

FOX NEWS IS JUST THE LAST IN A LINE OF ENEMIES OF THE STATE SINCE THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TOOK OVER, STARTING WITH BANKS (UNDER BUSH) AND BIG BUSINESS, THROUGH THE AUTO INDUSTRY THEN HEALTH INSURANCE TO DOCTORS NOW FOX NEWS. I have soo many opinions on this situation and I can not begin to speak them without looking like I’m stepping on a soap box….
But, I will say this, I too don’t listen to Fox news or any news station for that matter, because I find them all obnoxious, particularly Hannity. But I think O’Rielly brings up an interesting point…
Obama is making friends with American enemies, apologizing for our country and fighting with his own people. This is very disturbing.
They could shut down Fox News, but they can’t shut up the American people. We will still find ways to speak about our “opposing interests” regarding our President.

The white house has not launched a campaign against Fox, they are just avoiding them. This is the exact same thing that Bush did during his 2nd term to MSNBC so its nothing new. Dana Parino admitted that they blocked out MSNBC during her interview last week.
TO GIVE CREDIT TO THE OTHER MAJOR NEWS OUTLETS (WHICH I DONT DO OFTEN) WHEN THEY HEARD THAT FOX WAS BANNED FROM THE NEWSROOM, THE OTHER OUTLETS SAID, IF FOX ISNT IN THERE, THEN WE ARENT IN THERE. KUDOS TO THEM FOR THAT.

sounds to me like a “campain against FOX News”. They are to the point of trying to devise ways to get FOX off the air, by examining sponsors.

Key word there… QUESTIONED. Ha – since they QUESTIONED something, they should be punished. Wow.
